In 2004, she became a serious Pilates student and entered the teacher training certification program in 2006 with Phylinda Moore, former owner of Vitality Studio. Her focus is working with individuals 50 and over who want to remain strong, vigorous, and flexible. In 2008, Patty started to do GYROTONIC® ® exercise. So convinced of its physiological benefits, she entered and completed the GYROTONIC® ® teacher training which she also teaches at Vitality Studio.
Lana Jaclyn
Lana Jaclyn began her yoga practice in 2001, in a little loft in NYC. During this time, Lana was also learning to skydive. Yoga was a helpful tool for staying focused, calm, and flexible, not only with the sport, but with moving through a big life transition.
Lana spent 6 years working in skydiving.
While taking care of a friend who was hurt in ’04, Lana realized her calling to help people to ease their discomfort and suffering so that they can feel their best. Shortly after, she earned her 600 hour Therapeutic Massage Certification through Omega Institute in ’05. Working as a bodyworker and delving into a world of wellness ignited her interest in teaching yoga. She felt that she can stay engaged and go deeper in her yoga practice through sharing it’s very evident and bountiful benefits with others.
Lana got certified to teach in ’09 through Wake Up Yoga, after completing a 250 hour teacher training, and has been teaching group classes and private classes ever since.
Lana is also Reiki I and II certified through the Reiki School of Philadelphia.
Other studies include: Ayurveda 100 hour training with Ed Zadlo, a 20 hour training in Essence Bodywork in Costa Rica, and multiple trainings with Anodea Judith on yoga and the chakras. Lana continues to delve deeper into her yoga practice/teaching through the studies and experience of anatomy, kinesiology, philosophy, meditation, and a continuous bridging of yoga on the mat with life off the mat.
